Introducing: Watercolour
(6-Week Course)

This November, I will be running my first beginner-friendly art course in South Croydon! Over six weeks, we’ll be diving into watercolour and making a range of artwork exploring the medium – starting with basic techniques and building up.

While the course was structured with beginners in mind, someone who has used watercolour before will be able to experience something new, as we explore watercolour’s potential and draw upon notable and niche watercolour artists’ work for inspiration.

Watercolour has a lot of personal significance, as it was the medium I first used after deciding to develop my art practice in earnest. It also became a key therapeutic tool due to its fluidity – namely for my second project “My (Un)Favourite Person”. You can do a lot with a little.

After spending enough time playing around with it some years ago, I discovered how complex and versatile watercolour is – as well as the range of art that has been and can be created with it. I hope to put anyone who is intimidated by it at ease during these six weeks.

So there, Introducing: Watercolour begins on 2nd November. I’m really looking forward to these sessions, the conversations that will be had, and the art that everyone will make!
